On April 1, the spring 2021 conscription of citizens for military service begins.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of March 29, 2021, No. 186, it is planned to send more than 134 thousand people for military service in the spring of this year.

The spring conscription will be held in 83 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, with the exception of the Komi Republic and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Conscription events in these constituent entities of the Russian Federation are held only in the fall.

In accordance with the legislation, once a year – from May 1 to July 15, citizens are called up for military service in 24 municipalities of 5 constituent entities of the Russian Federation – the Trans-Baikal, Kamchatka and Khabarovsk Territories, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), as well as the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. This is due, first of all, to the physical and geographical conditions of these regions.

A special feature of the spring 2021 conscription of citizens for military service is that only employees of military commissariats who have been vaccinated against coronavirus infection or who have had a coronavirus infection and who have antibodies will be allowed to work with conscripts. This will eliminate the risks of contamination of recruits and will complement the set of previously established anti-epidemiological measures.

The measures that were successfully tested and proved their effectiveness in the course of recruiting citizens for military service in 2020 made it possible to send only healthy young people to staffing the troops and to exclude the penetration of coronavirus infection into the Armed Forces.

All military commissariats have created the necessary stocks of medical property, medicines and equipment. Food and clothing items have been delivered to the warehouses.

Before being sent to the places of service, the conscripts will be dressed in everyday uniform: for the Navy – black, for the Aerospace Forces and Airborne Forces – blue, for the SV and other branches of the military – a khaki. Servicemen sent to the Armed Forces will be issued with bank and personal electronic cards, as well as a travel bag, which includes a hand sanitizer.

The recruiting and assembly points are fully provided with non-contact thermometers, medical masks, bactericidal lamps and disinfectants.

In military commissariats, the work of medical posts is organized to conduct thermometry of all arriving employees, conscripts and visitors.

The streams of young people arriving at the military registration and enlistment office will be divided taking into account the minimization of contacts with visitors.

When transporting citizens to recruiting and assembly points, only vehicles that have undergone special disinfection treatment will be used.

Testing of conscripts will be carried out at the assembly point and upon arrival at the military unit.

When leaving the assembly point, servicemen will be provided with medical masks and disinfectants for the entire route.

Also, a compact (isolated) placement of personnel of military teams in the waiting rooms (places) of railway stations (airports) will be organized, excluding joint presence and contact with the civilian population.

The meeting and transportation of arriving military teams from railway stations (airports, etc.) to the point of permanent deployment is organized only by road transport of military units.

The movement of military personnel by public transport is excluded.

Upon arrival at the military unit, the servicemen will carry out quarantine (restrictive) measures for 14 days.

In all military commissariats and military units, separate premises are allocated for the accommodation (isolation) of employees, conscripts and military personnel when signs of respiratory diseases are detected. The procedure for their delivery by specialized vehicles (ambulances) to medical organizations for emergency assistance has been determined.

The dismissal of military personnel from military service will be held in accordance with the laws of the deadlines. Before leaving home every former military personnel will be instructed by the medical services of observance of measures of personal hygiene. For route in each fired soldier will be provided with masks and disinfectants.

The acquisition of scientific, scientific-production and sports companies will continue.

Currently, 17 scientific companies are successfully functioning, including 8 companies of the Era Military Innovative Technopolis, 4 research and production companies and 5 sports companies.
