18 mobile laboratories will operate at 65 fairgrounds.

Weekend fairs opened in Moscow on April 2. On them, residents of the capital can buy meat, fish and dairy products, fruits, berries, vegetables and honey. The quality of goods is monitored by 70 veterinarians. This was told by the chairman Moscow Veterinary Committee Alexey Sautkin.

“70 specialists from the capital will conduct veterinary and sanitary examination at weekend fairs. This is to ensure that safe products do not end up on the shelves. Over the past three years, the number of low-quality products at seasonal fairs has halved. In addition, veterinarians carry out similar examinations throughout the year in the Moscow markets. Such complex work allows us to take care of the safety and health of the residents of the capital, ”added the chairman of the committee.

This year, 18 mobile laboratories will operate at 65 fairs. This will allow the necessary research to be carried out on the spot. All products of animal and plant origin undergo an examination, based on the results of which a conclusion of the established form is issued. Buyers have the right to verify that the seller has such a document. Experts remind that you can buy farm products, fruits, vegetables and honey only in those retail outlets where experts control the safety of products.

Last year, at metropolitan fairs, experts checked more than nine thousand tons of products and performed more than 500 thousand laboratory tests.
