The Career Development Center of the Technograd Innovation and Educational Complex at VDNKh invites everyone to a new online course for applicants. The webinars are dedicated to the psychological aspects of job search: overcoming internal barriers and motivation.
“The educational program of the center consists of a variety of courses and trainings that help students to master a new demanded profession, improve their qualifications and plan a career. Since the opening of the center in 2018, more than 180 thousand people have been trained. The new online course is intended for those who have faced long-term employment and psychological stress during this period, “- said the head of the capital
The course includes six webinars. In the first lesson, students will be told how to stop postponing the search for a suitable job and decide to change. Lesson 2 will explore the difference between work, passion, calling, and life’s work. Participants will reflect on what they like to do the most and whether they can turn their favorite hobby into a source of income.
Some candidates are afraid of failing in the interview, not coping with new responsibilities, and not joining the team. These and many other psychological barriers hinder effective employment. The teacher will explain how to overcome them and believe in yourself.
In the third lesson, the study group will learn about the concept of impostor syndrome. As a rule, it affects people who find it difficult to accept their own achievements. They believe that those around them overestimate that their success is just an accident. Impostor Syndrome is often temporary, but sometimes it can last a lifetime. Frustration is dangerous because a person is fixated on their experiences. For example, he refuses a promotion because he does not believe that he will achieve heights, or becomes depressed. Listeners will figure out how the impostor syndrome differs from ordinary insecurity and how to find a middle ground in self-criticism.
The topic of the fifth webinar will be social capital. The instructor will explain how the people around you can influence the pursuit of goals, as well as how to create a positive impression in business meetings and interviews. In the sixth lesson, students will be able to ask all questions of interest to the mentor and receive personal advice on finding a job.
The training will take place from 7 to 22 April, each webinar will last one hour. The lecturer will be Marina Korobova, a psychologist at the Technograd Career Development Center.
If the online course “Find a Job: Psychological Aspects of Successful Employment” turns out to be in demand among Internet users, the recruitment of students will be held regularly.
