Servicemen of the reconnaissance units of the Russian military base of the Southern Military District (YuVO) in Abkhazia in a mountainous and wooded area were trained on a special “Reconnaissance Strip”.

An improved training complex is equipped at the Tsabal training ground. It is designed to prepare servicemen for combat missions in difficult weather and emotionally stressful conditions.

The reconnaissance training complex is presented on a route with a length of more than 1 km across rough terrain and consists of 23 sections of structures and obstacles.

In the winter period of training, the runway was significantly improved with additional elements of light and noise exposure using subversive imitation and pyrotechnics, signal flares, special light and noise equipment, smoke bombs and water barriers.

The most difficult obstacles are the climbing wall, air and water crossings, as well as a section of underground communications with a length of about 30 meters.

In addition, during the camp gathering, the scouts passed exams in the possession of army hand-to-hand combat and the use of modern reconnaissance, control and communications systems (KRUS) “Strelets” and completed over 40 combat training missions to disable the communications of a conditional enemy and organize ambushes.

In total, over 60 units of military equipment were involved in the camp assembly, including BTR-82AM armored personnel carriers and Dozor armored reconnaissance vehicles.
