The calculations of the Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile systems, together with the Igla portable anti-aircraft missile systems of the combined arms army of the Western Military District, have worked out the protection of key military facilities from the air of a simulated enemy in the Kursk region.

The training of the military personnel of the air defense units began at the command “Combat alarm”. Having taken up firing positions, the servicemen began to work out group standards as part of units for countering reconnaissance of an air enemy and high-precision weapons.

Combat crews of the Buk-M3 air defense missile system, together with Igla MANPADS, performed reconnaissance tasks for air targets, their classification, after which they conducted electronic missile launches at targets simulating unmanned and manned aerial vehicles at altitudes from 5 to 10 km.

About 500 servicemen of an anti-aircraft missile brigade and more than 90 units of weapons, military and special equipment were involved in the exercises to protect key military facilities in the Kursk region.
