The team of snipers of the Caspian Flotilla (CFL) took the honorary prize 2nd place in the team event at the district stage of the International Army Games 2021 “Sniper Frontier” competition at the Kadamovsky training ground in the Rostov region.

KFL snipers competed with the best snipers and sniper pairs of the Southern Military District (YuVO). In total, 9 teams from Rostov and Volgograd regions, Kuban and Stavropol took part in the competition.

The competitions were held both in singles and among sniper pairs, who had to hit various types of targets at distances from 200 to 800 m from a Dragunov sniper rifle (SVD) in the daytime and at night.

The servicemen also competed: in covert movement, in overcoming various obstacles, in camouflage using improvised and standard means, in adjusting fire using observation and aiming devices. In addition, all participants had to pass the standards for physical training, pass the test for knowledge of the tactical and technical characteristics of standard small arms.

According to the results of the district stage of the competition, the prizes were shared by the teams of KFL snipers, the army corps and the Black Sea Fleet. The winners of the district stage of the “Sniper Frontier” competition will represent the Southern Military District at the All-Russian stage of the competition, which will be held from May 16 to May 30.
