This year we have expanded the list of areas in which applicants can submit projects.

Applications for participation in the competition for the Moscow Mayor Prize “Novator of Moscow” are accepted until April 25. It supports developers and inventors, startups and innovative businesses.

“Participation in the competition for the Moscow Innovator Prize will help the authors of projects at the initial stages of development to attract the attention of potential clients and investors,” said the head of the Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development Alexey Fursin.

The competition is held in three nominations. “Project of the Future” – for inventions that have a formalized innovative idea or a title of protection certifying the exclusive right or authorship of the participants in the competition. The Reality Changing nomination exists for developments that have a business organization and commercialization model with market analysis and an assessment of the project’s market attractiveness. The “Innovation Leaders” category includes projects that have repeatedly generated revenue.

This year we have expanded the list of areas in which applicants can submit projects. Among them are “Medicine and Pharmaceuticals”, “Transport and Logistics”, “Ecology and Environmental Protection”, “Artificial Intelligence and Information Technologies”, “Improvement and Construction” and “Public Projects”.

The Moscow Innovator Prize is awarded annually and is aimed at stimulating the development and implementation of innovative ideas, creating progressive technologies and supporting inventors.

Danila Saranin and Tatiana Komaricheva became the winners of last year’s prize. Their InPower design allows you to charge any gadget from the dim office light. The finalist in the nomination “Project of the Future” was Alexey Radchenko, who presented a development for analyzing the route network. It helps to understand how transport goes, whether a certain route covers the main points of attraction and compares the coverage of territories by different modes of transport.

Winners of the Moscow Innovator Prize Announced

The application for participation in the competition is submitted to website awards. You need to attach a presentation and a business plan to it. If all the necessary documents are filled in correctly, the project will be sent for examination.

Its assessment will take place in three stages. First, the experts will check the documents from a legal and scientific point of view – the rights of the applicants to intellectual property and the availability of scientific novelty of the solutions. After that, the project will undergo an economic assessment, which will show its prospects, demand, including abroad, and competitiveness.

Based on the results of the examination, the applications are ranked. Developers of the best 36 projects will take part in a pitch session, tell investors, representatives of government authorities and the city’s business community about their project. In each nomination in each direction, experts will determine the winners, who, depending on the stage of the project’s development, will receive a monetary reward from 500 thousand to 1.5 million rubles. For the rest of the participants, incentive prizes are provided.

Annual award “Novator of Moscow” established by the Mayor of Moscow in August 2019. The objectives of the competition are to stimulate the development and implementation of innovative ideas, create progressive technologies and support inventors.
