The next stage of reconstruction of the Moscow Conservatory is nearing completion in the capital. This was announced by the head Department of urban planning policy of the city of Moscow Sergey Levkin… According to him, the work will be completed in the fourth quarter of this year.

“The restoration and reconstruction of the educational buildings of the Moscow State Conservatory is funded from the federal budget. To date, work has been completed in the first educational building and educational premises on the fourth and fifth floors have been commissioned. Now finishing works are underway on the first, second and third floors of the building, commissioning of internal engineering systems has begun. In the third educational building, the installation of internal engineering systems and the decoration of classrooms, the installation of stairs, facade work is being carried out, “said Sergei Levkin.

The restoration and reconstruction of the Moscow Conservatory has been underway since 2011. During this time, the Big, Small and Rachmaninov halls of the conservatory, the educational building with the White Hall, as well as the street building were restored.

The objects of the Moscow State Conservatory are included in the list of especially significant federal projects, which are supervised by the Department of Urban Planning Policy of Moscow and the capital’s Stroycomplex as part of the implementation of the state program “Urban Planning Policy” approved by the Mayor of Moscow.

The list of especially significant objects includes 69 buildings. Their commissioning is scheduled for 2011–2024. The facilities are being reconstructed both at the expense of the federal budget and with the use of investors’ funds. From 2011 to 2020, 33 facilities were commissioned – 13 of them are federal and 20 are investment ones. To date, work is underway on 36 facilities, 22 of which are being built or reconstructed from the federal budget, and 14 – at the expense of investors.
