The best tank crews of the Eastern Military District (VVO) have begun preparations for the All-Russian stage of the ArmI-2021 Tank Biathlon professional skill competition. Intensive trainings are carried out at the Borzya-Novaya training ground of the motorized rifle unit of the combined arms army stationed in the Trans-Baikal Territory.

Under the guidance of experienced mentors, servicemen carry out practical exercises in driving combat vehicles with overcoming obstacles: trenches, track bridges, mine-explosive obstacles, slope, escarp and others.

After training in driving, the crews of the T-72B3 tanks will begin firing missions. They will fire a cannon, regular artillery shell, and a large-caliber machine gun at targets that appear simulating enemy tanks and low-flying helicopters.

The target environment and firing lines have been prepared at the tank shooting range, as well as a special platform for aligning sights and bringing weapons to normal combat.

In addition, the servicemen will be trained for the sports stage of the competition. It provides for: running and carrying ammunition boxes, throwing hand grenades, as well as overcoming labyrinths, wells, walkways and water obstacles.

The best tankers as part of the national team will go to represent the Air Defense Forces at the all-army stage of the Tank Biathlon competition ARMI-2021, which will be held from May 15 to May 30 this year in the Chelyabinsk Region.
