In the museum of the Main Directorate of Combat Training of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, an award ceremony was held for veterans and officers of the Central Administration on the 100th anniversary.
State and departmental awards, as well as certificates and valuable gifts to the heroes of the day were presented by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Yu-B.B. Evkurov.
“I am sure that the personnel of the Main Directorate of Combat Training will continue to fulfill their official duty with honor, and their intellectual potential and responsible approach to the assigned task will allow them to successfully solve the tasks of strengthening the defense capability of Russia,” the deputy minister congratulated the officers.
He wished the officers health, happiness, prosperity and new achievements in the service for the good of the Fatherland.
On behalf of the veterans of the department, those present were congratulated by the head of the GUBP from December 2006 to November 2007
retired lieutenant general Lukin Alexander Pavlovich.
“Over a century-long history, the staff of the department have made a significant contribution to strengthening the country’s defense capability, the formation of high professional and moral qualities in the personnel of the army and navy,” he said.
Also, officers and veterans on the 100th anniversary were congratulated by the head of the GUBP Colonel-General I.A. Buvaltsev.
“I congratulate our officers, civil servants and I want to say that the trained army is loved and respected,” Ivan Buvaltsev congratulated the officers and veterans.
On April 4, 1921, by order of the Revolutionary Military Council of the Republic No. 712/128, a new control body for improving the training of troops was formed as part of the headquarters of the Red Army – the Directorate for Education and Training of Troops.
Numerous reorganizations caused by changes in the military-political situation in the world, changes in the country, in the Armed Forces, led to the formation in 1998 of the Main Directorate of Combat Training of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
At present, the Main Directorate of Combat Training performs the functions of organizing combat training of troops (forces), coordinating the activities of military command bodies for training junior specialists in the Armed Forces, guiding the development of the educational material base of combat training, technical training aids and providing combat training of the Armed Forces.
