Akbay, Yurgana, Amur, Yulanda, Argon and Younes came from the breeding nursery of the service dog breeding of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan. They arrived at a new place of residence with all the necessary documents – personal files and the so-called “puppy passport”, which contains all the data about the animal, parental pedigrees and detailed information about three generations of ancestors.

The distribution of the nursery graduates to their jobs has already taken place – they will serve in the Yoshkar-Ola pre-trial detention center, penal colony No. 4 and the escort department. Six-month-old newcomers have well endured the not too long road, little by little they get used to the dedicated enclosures and, according to the new owners, feel good.

Even in the kennel, the puppies underwent a course of educational training and already have the initial skills for performing service. They will have several months of internship, according to the results of which, in about six months, new employees will finally decide on their future specialty.

The service dog breeding kennel of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan is one of the largest in the penitentiary system of Russia. Its graduates successfully serve not only in different Russian regions, but even in distant Latin America. But the distribution to the neighboring Mari El puppies from this kennel received for the first time.

Experts are confident that, thanks to their innate professional qualities, beginners will successfully work together with their experienced four-legged colleagues. To date, 78 patrol, special and search dogs are serving in the canine service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Mari El.
