Yuri Borisov, together with the management of the UAC, inspected the production facilities of the enterprise, as well as the final assembly shop of the Il-114-300 aircraft. There he was also presented with the second prototype Il-114-300 aircraft, the assembly of which has actually been completed. This model will have an updated airframe.

The first prototype Il-114-300 took off for the first time on December 16, 2020 at the airfield in Zhukovsky. The flight task involved checking the operating modes of the power plant, the stability and controllability of the aircraft, as well as the functioning of its systems. Flight tests continue. Two more aircraft will join the test program.

Based on the results of the inspection, Yuri Borisov held a production meeting, which was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Military Industrial Complex Board Andrey Yelchaninov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Bocharov, General Director of PJSC “UAC” Yuri Slyusar, General Director of PJSC “Il” Sergei Yarkovoy, Chief Designer of PJSC “IL” Sergey Ganin, general director of JSC “UEC” Alexander Artyukhov, representatives of the Federal Air Transport Agency and the Ministry of Defense.

Il-114-300 is a regional passenger turboprop aircraft. The developer of the aircraft Aviation complex. SV Ilyushina is the head enterprise of the transport aviation division as part of the United Aircraft Corporation (PJSC UAC is part of the state corporation Rostec).

PJSC UAC is implementing a project to modernize and resume serial production of the Il-114-300 regional passenger aircraft on behalf of the President in order to provide the domestic air transportation market with modern domestically produced aircraft.

IL-114-300 is designed for local airlines, including for use in regions with weak airfield infrastructure and in difficult climatic conditions – inaccessible regions of the North, the Far East and Siberia. The aircraft can carry up to 68 passengers over a distance of 1400 km at a speed of 450 km / h.

The aircraft is intended to replace the An-24, which is running out of service life, as well as foreign-made aircraft on domestic airlines. The aircraft is equipped with TV7-117ST-01 turboprop engines designed and manufactured by UEC-Klimov JSC (part of UEC as part of Rostec State Corporation). The engine has a takeoff power of up to 3100 hp. and in comparison with the base engine (TV7-117SM) it has higher power in takeoff and cruise modes.

IL-114-300 is manufactured entirely from domestic materials and components. Created in cooperation with leading Russian developers of systems and equipment, the most significant amount of components is supplied by Rostec enterprises.

Serial deliveries of Il-114-300 aircraft are planned to begin in 2023. The first customer is the State Transport Leasing Company.
