In the Central Military District, a control check of the troops for the winter training period started. The maneuvers will take place at 14 training grounds in the regions of Siberia, the Urals and the Volga region, as well as on the territory of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Combinations and formations of the largest military district in Russia are practicing actions to transfer and deploy mobile components of the control system and make marches to the indicated areas.

The check is carried out under the general direction of the commander of the military district, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin. Special attention will be paid to improving the use of reconnaissance and strike systems as part of missile and artillery units, aviation and reconnaissance assets.

During the control check of combat training, the level of preparedness of the military command and control bodies, the ability to perform combat training tasks in any conditions of the situation will be determined. The event is intended to improve the level of training of command and operational personnel by introducing the experience of modern armed conflicts.

In total, more than 70 thousand servicemen of formations and military units of the Central Military District, as well as about 15 thousand units of military and special equipment, were involved in the control check during the winter period of training.

The Central Military District is deployed on the territory of three federal districts and 29 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The district structurally includes a number of foreign objects: the 201st military base on the territory of Tajikistan, the united military base in Kyrgyzstan, as well as units on the territory of Kazakhstan.
