This is the third such building in the capital.

A building for a block of primary classes for 300 children, which can be transformed into a kindergarten, was commissioned in the Yuzhnoye Butovo area. This was announced by the head Department of urban planning policy of the city of Moscow Sergey Levkin.

The four-storey building-transformer was built at the expense of the city budget. It is located at Brusilova Street, Building 29, Building 1a. Its total area is about 5.7 thousand square meters.

“The building can function both as a primary school block and as a kindergarten. A combined form is also envisaged, in which an elementary school for 200 students and a kindergarten for 100 children can work here, ”said Sergei Levkin.


If necessary, the building is partially transformed. Classrooms with recreation and bathrooms are transformed into 12 group rooms (four on each floor). The dining room can take over the functions of a music hall. The gymnasium, library, medical block and administrative premises will remain unchanged.

This building became the third in the capital. Previously, transforming buildings appeared in Yuzhny Butovo on Admiral Lazarev Street and in Kurkin on Vorotynskaya street.

Moscow pays great attention to educational facilities. So, since 2011, 418 buildings have been built in the capital. educational institutions… In the next three years, it is planned to build about 97 more kindergartens and schools in the city.
