According to weather forecasters, rain and sleet are expected in the capital on the evening of April 7. On Thursday afternoon, wind gusts in places will reach 15–20 meters per second. In this case, a third of the monthly norm of precipitation may fall – up to 8-15 millimeters. The bad weather will continue until about 21:00 on April 8.
In this regard, emergency teams of engineering companies and prefectures of administrative districts were transferred to round-the-clock duty. Electricity companies have been instructed to alert all possible sources of emergency power.
The city’s life support facilities and fuel and energy facilities are under special control. In places of possible temporary accumulations of water, brigades and special equipment of enterprises of the municipal economy complex are on duty.
In addition, gauging stations have been installed for round-the-clock monitoring of the water level in the Moskva River in the conditions of the spring flood.
