Deputy Head of the Operations Support Department Alexander Yelizarev and Head of the Household Yury Nikolenko, accompanied by Deputy Head of the Department Dmitry Domin and Head of IK-12 Alexander Sysenko, visited the center for labor adaptation of convicts and got acquainted with the production potential of the correctional institution.

IK-12 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Omsk Region produces a wide range of products: building materials and goods for landscaping (paving slabs, curbs, cinder blocks, trash cans, metal gates), polymer products and fishing accessories, hardware products, wood products and food … In addition, the institution provides services in metalworking (casting, forging, cutting) and woodworking (sawing, drying) and others.

The leaders discussed the possibility of mutually beneficial cooperation. It was noted that the federal authorities, in accordance with the legislation on the contract system, have the opportunity to purchase goods, works and services from institutions of the penal system as with a single supplier, without holding a tender procedure. As a result of the working meeting, a number of agreements were reached, which are planned for implementation this year.
