The crew of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet) frigate “Admiral Essen” conducted preparatory and test artillery fires at coastal targets located at the Opuk interspecific training ground on the Crimean Peninsula.

Shooting at coastal targets was carried out as part of a control check of the Black Sea Fleet forces during the winter training period.

During the first stage of firing, the crews of the frigate’s artillery warhead worked out the algorithm of actions when performing a combat training exercise.

At the second stage of the event, the gunners performed preparatory firing from the A-190 artillery mount at coastal targets.

As part of the valid artillery firing, the personnel successfully hit both visible coastal targets and invisible ones, carried out according to navigational data using an auxiliary aiming point.

The next stage of checking the skills and coordination of the actions of the crew of the frigate “Admiral Essen” will be a joint exercise to repel an air strike of a simulated enemy with fighters of the naval aviation and air defense of the Black Sea Fleet.
