The European Taekwondo Championship was held in Sofia (Bulgaria). The army team has three awards – two gold and one silver.

Army athlete Maxim Khramtsov became the best in the weight category up to 80 kg at the European Championships in Bulgaria. In the final match, the soldier defeated the representative of Azerbaijan Milad Beigi Kharchegani. Bronze medals in this category were won by Italian Simone Alessio and Spaniard Raul Martinez.

Army athlete Tatyana Minina brought another gold medal to the collection of the Russian national team at the tournament, having won in the weight category up to 53 kg. In the final, she defeated Zelikha Agris from Turkey. The bronze medalists in this category were the Hungarian Luka Patakfalvi and the Bulgarian Lina Ivanova.

Another army athlete Vladislav Larin became the silver medalist of the European Championship in weight over 87 kg. In the decisive match, the soldier lost to the representative of Belarus Armand-Marshall Silla. “Bronze” won by Andrey Garbar (Ukraine) and Spaniard Ivan Garcia.
