The electronic warfare (EW) units of the Russian military base of the Southern Military District (YuVO) in Abkhazia, during a special tactical exercise at the Nagualou training ground, performed tasks to suppress the communication and navigation systems of the imaginary enemy.

EW specialists deployed the Zhitel and Sinitsa radio jamming stations based on KamAZ vehicles, collected and analyzed intelligence information and transmitted the coordinates of the mock enemy to the artillery units. Also, EW specialists, by suppressing radio networks and navigation, violated the communication system of the field aircraft controllers of the simulated enemy at a distance of up to 200 km.

With the use of Lava jamming machines on the basis of UAZ Patriot vehicles, cellular communication in the area of ​​the exercise was disrupted.

The effectiveness of the created radio interference zone was confirmed by the servicemen of the communications units of the Southern Military District, acting as a conditional enemy.

The work of electronic warfare units significantly interferes with the conditional enemy to conduct reconnaissance, control units and direct high-precision guided missile weapons.

More than 100 servicemen of the Southern Military District took part in the event, up to 20 units of special equipment were involved, including the Zhitel and Sinitsa radio jamming stations based on KamAZ vehicles, as well as Lava jamming vehicles based on UAZ Patriot vehicles. …
