As part of the control check during the winter training period, the crews of the ships of the Caspian Flotilla (CFL) went to sea to perform combat training tasks and improve the tactics of naval combat with detachments of imaginary enemy ships.

At sea ranges, crews of small missile ships (MRK) “Veliky Ustyug” and “Grad Sviyazhsk” KFL will perform live firing exercises from the A-190 “Universal” naval artillery mounts at naval shields imitating a detachment of imaginary enemy ships, as well as at ground targets, located on the island of Chechen, imitating a conventional enemy’s amphibious assault.

The combat crews of the ships will use electronic warfare systems for setting false targets and perform maneuvers when repelling attacks by guided weapons of a conventional enemy.

Also, the personnel of the radio-technical warhead will set a false target with a complex of passive interference of the near line PK-10 “Bold”, and the artillerymen, using the data of the target designation of the guiding stations and complexes, will destroy the coastal and surface targets of the imaginary enemy by firing from naval guns.

In addition, the personnel will work out the elements and standards of maritime training, tasks for mine protection of the ship, as well as for the protection and defense of the ship when parked in an unprotected roadstead.

In total, as part of the control check at sea, about 20 warships and CFL support vessels will be involved, including the base minesweeper Magomed Gadzhiev, small artillery ships Volgodonsk, Astrakhan, missile ships Tatarstan, Dagestan.
