Mikhail Mishustin visiting the Derbent Central City Hospital

Derbent central city hospital is located in a building built in 1975. The multidisciplinary medical institution is designed for 586 beds.

The Prime Minister examined the admission department, got acquainted with the progress of the reconstruction of the operating room and discussed with the hospital management the re-equipping of the institution with medical equipment.

Mikhail Mishustin also had a brief conversation with the medical staff.

From the transcript:

Mikhail Mishustin: Good afternoon, dear doctors!

We just saw your hospital. It is good that a team of enthusiasts headed by the chief physician is doing everything to ensure that both repairs and new equipment are delivered. But the most important thing, as the chief physician absolutely rightly said, is the people – those who provide everyone with highly qualified medical care. I really hope that all the ideas will work out. We talked, among other things, about how you can be useful to you. All the necessary equipment, I think (the Minister of Health hears this), will be supplied here.

I want to thank you all for this difficult job. In general, a doctor is a unique profession, a favorite profession for many people. And I would like to say a separate thank you to all the doctors and your team for their work during the pandemic.

Unfortunately, the coronavirus infection has not gone away yet, but the heroic work that our doctors, nurses, ambulance drivers and all employees who were somehow involved in healthcare have done deserve the kindest words. Thank you very much. You know how the state relates to this. Presidential incentive payments are ongoing. I really hope that we will cope with this misfortune together.

I want to listen to you: how are you, how are you working.

R. Semendarov: Hello! I am the acting senior doctor of emergency medical care of the city of Derbent Semendarov Ruslan Magomedtagirovich.

Today, there are 29 ambulances on the balance of the ambulance. Here are three of them. Two of them are worn out, and one new one was presented by our patron Suleiman Abusaidovich Kerimov. 15 machines have been in operation for more than seven years, are worn out almost completely, have exhausted their resource.

Mikhail Mishustin: How many people do you serve in general?

R. Semendarov: 255 thousand people. These are Derbent and Derbent region. There are 16 brigades in total. Two of them are route service. In total, 14 brigades actually serve the population.

Mikhail Mishustin: This is not the case. We help to actively resolve these issues. Just recently, we helped three regions – they bought ambulances.

Do you know how many cars are needed in order to properly organize this assistance?

R. Semendarov: You need 16 cars.

Mikhail Mishustin: I think we will resolve this issue. Everyone will support this, including the Minister of Health.

M.Medzhidova: The head nurse of the admission department is Milana Narimanovna.

Our hospital is developing every day. A large number of patients come to us. We would like to see more modern ambulances.

Mikhail Mishustin: It will be so. Exactly. I think that with your enthusiasm and desire to help people, you will definitely be fine.

Thank you! Good luck, health.
