In the Amur Region, in the long-range aviation regiment, during control exercises, the crews of strategic missile carriers performed flights at night in conditions of limited visibility with refueling in the air, as well as air patrols in a given area.

Refueling took place at an altitude of over 5400 meters and at a speed of over 550 kilometers per hour.

In addition, the servicemen have worked out standards for ensuring flight safety. During the development of tasks, both theoretical and practical skills of the regiment’s personnel were tested.

During the flights, the ability of the crew commanders to calculate the take-off run and the speed of separation of the aircraft from the runway, taking into account weather conditions, and the knowledge of the location of obstacles along the take-off course were assessed.

In addition, the pilots’ ability to navigate in the daytime and at night at the airfield and near it during the landing approach was tested.
