MIL OSI Translation. Region: Russian Federation –
We state that the FRG authorities continue to systematically use A. Navalny to interfere in the internal affairs of Russia and to realize their foreign policy ambitions within NATO and the EU. the address of the Russian penitentiary system. (Recall that at the moment, by a court decision, A. Navalny is serving a sentence of imprisonment in one of the correctional institutions in the Vladimir region for committing an economic crime. The replacement of the suspended sentence with a real one was the result of his repeated violation of the registration regime in the criminal correctional inspectorate). From the side of official Berlin, Moscow constantly sounds peremptory demands aimed at nothing more than further informational “pumping” of the image of A. Navalny, consistently constructed by Western system media, as “the leader of the protest movement in Russia”, “victim of the regime” and “prisoner of conscience. “. The German press and non-profit organizations are also at the forefront in this matter. Such efforts, which are being undertaken in parallel by a number of other states, in practical terms can be directed exclusively at exerting a destabilizing influence on the internal political situation in our country.
In light of the upcoming State Duma elections in September of this year 2021, this seems to be their only reliable motive. Any loud statements by the German side about any humanitarian considerations is nothing more than a screen, given the long-known extreme selectivity of Berlin in protecting human rights in the world. Double standards in this area have become commonplace for German politics.
It is indicative how readily the FRG authorities took up a new, this time “prison plot” in the so-called case of A. Navalny, which they have been promoting since August 2020. Berlin is diligently trying to divert public attention from the still open and extremely uncomfortable for itself questions related to the unproven version put forward by it about the “poisoning” of the blogger with the Novichok battle poison.
Four inquiries and three official letters from the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation regarding the provision of international legal assistance within the framework of the pre-investigation verification of the reasons for the blogger’s emergency hospitalization in Omsk on August 20, 2020, addressed to the Federal Department of Justice of the Federal Republic of Germany, remain without any intelligible reaction. At the same time, in bilateral diplomatic and interdepartmental contacts, German counterparties openly declare their unwillingness to continue the dialogue on this issue. They say that in Berlin “they do not see the point in this”, and contrary, in our firm belief, to any logic, the decision of the German side not to transfer A. Navalny’s biomaterials to Russia, proving his poisoning by “Novichok”, as well as the formula allegedly found in his body by the German military substances will not be revised. In addition to this, the FRG authorities refuse to transfer other material evidence of the “assassination attempt” that they allegedly have on the blogger’s life, openly conceal the role that Russian citizen M. Pevchikh, who lives in Great Britain, played in the story with A. Navalny, and continue to be extremely opaque and behave unconstructively at the OPCW site, in other international organizations and multilateral formats.
The German side is deeply mistaken if it thinks that it will be able to hide behind empty replies, and the aforementioned questions remained on the already turned page in the so-called A. Navalny case. Moscow does not consider them closed to itself and does not intend to concede. As before, we will publicly seek clear, substantive answers from Berlin. If the FRG authorities continue to remain silent, they will only sign their direct involvement in the incident with the Russian blogger.
