A flight of Su-25 SM aircraft was redeployed from the airfield of the Russian military base in Kyrgyzstan to the Gissar airfield in Tajikistan to participate in a joint tactical exercise.

Russian attack aircraft will provide air support to the joint group of forces. In the course of practical actions, the crews of the Su-25 SM will perform tasks to search for camouflaged bases of a simulated enemy, deliver missile and bomb strikes at targets, and also work out techniques for getting out of attacks from portable anti-aircraft missile systems of the enemy.

More than 3.5 thousand servicemen of the 201st military base and the armed forces of the Republic of Tajikistan are involved in the exercise, which is being conducted under the leadership of the commander of the troops of the Central Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin.

In total, about 2.5 thousand servicemen of the 201st military base were involved in the exercise from the Russian side, up to 400 units of military and special equipment were involved.
