On May 9, 23 aircraft of the Pacific Fleet naval aviation and the Air Force and Air Defense Army of the Eastern Military District will take part in the air part of the parade in honor of the 76th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in Vladivostok.

The naval aviation of the Pacific Fleet at the parade will be represented by 13 aircraft and helicopters. Long-range anti-submarine Tu-142 and Il-38 aircraft will fly over the city in pairs. Also, the parade will involve Tu-134, An-140, An-26 and Il-22 aircraft, a Mi-8 helicopter and a pair of Ka-27 deck helicopters in anti-submarine and rescue versions.

For the air parade, the Air Force and Air Defense Army of the Eastern Military District will prepare 4 MiG-31BM high-altitude interceptor fighters, 4 Su-35S generation 4 ++ super-maneuverable multipurpose fighters and two Ka-52 Alligator reconnaissance and attack helicopters.

The flight of aviation will be carried out along a previously agreed route – parallel to Svetlanskaya Street, at altitudes from 300 to 500 meters.

Over the next week, pilots of the Pacific Fleet’s naval aviation and the military aviation of the Air Defense Forces will conduct separate trainings near their home airfields. Joint training sessions over Vladivostok and the Amur Bay are planned to begin after April 26.
