All elements of the Natalie six-meter shield have already been delivered to the construction site.

In the north-west of the capital, the installation of a tunnel boring complex for the construction of the first tunnel of the Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya metro line has begun. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Andrey Bochkarev.

“At the moment, all the elements of the Natalie six-meter shield have been delivered to the construction site of the station with the working name Karamyshevskaya (Marshal Zhukov Avenue),” said Andrei Bochkarev.

Experts are completing the assembly of three technological carts of the tunnel boring complex, constructing the head of the shield.

“At present, the station is working on the construction of an assembly and shield chamber for the launch of the tunnel boring complex, and the removal of utilities on Demyan Bednogo Street is being carried out,” said Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC.

The Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya metro line will connect the center of the capital and the Kuntsevo district. As part of the first stage of construction, stations will appear on the line with the working names Zvenigorodskaya, Karamyshevskaya (Marshal Zhukov Prospect), General Karbyshev Boulevard, Zhivopisnaya, Strogino, and Lipovaya Roscha. At the second stage, the line will be extended to two more stations (Rublevo-Arkhangelskoye and Ilyinskaya).
