A detachment of ships of the Caspian Flotilla (CFL) passed under the Crimean bridge across the Kerch Strait and entered the Black Sea.

As part of the control check during the winter training period, 15 ships of the Caspian Flotilla, including three artillery and eight landing boats, as well as support vessels, are making an inter-fleet transition from the Caspian to the Black Sea.

The day before, the detachment came under the operational control of the Black Sea Fleet and replenished supplies of fuel and food in the port of Temryuk.

After leaving the Kerch Strait, the KFL ships headed for the designated area in accordance with the plan for a control check during the winter training period.

On the way along the Volga-Don Canal with a length of more than 100 kilometers, the warships overcame 13 locks, and also passed Volgograd, Kalach-na-Donu, Volgodonsk, Semikarakorsk.

According to the plan for passing the control check, the crews of the boats of the Caspian Flotilla, in cooperation with the forces of the Black Sea Fleet, will take part in the offset naval exercises.

In accordance with the training plan for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, control checks are continuing in the military command and control bodies, formations and military units.

In total, 4048 exercises of various scales will be held during April, including 812 bilateral exercises, at 101 training grounds and 520 facilities of the training and material base.

The exercises take place on the territory of all military districts and the Northern Fleet, as well as in the regions of the Far North, the Kuril Islands and Kamchatka.

All types and branches of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are subject to checks.
