The opening ceremony of a new educational complex for the training of military chefs and bakers took place in the Moscow region. The celebration is timed to the 60th anniversary of the formation of the military school of cooks in the Western Military District.
The solemn event was attended by the head of the Department of Resource Support of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel Sergei Mikhelman, the command of the Western Military District, and the school administration.
Before the start of the event, the illumination took place by Father Sergius, the rector of the Church of the New Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church.
The newest complex includes three special classrooms for theoretical studies and rooms for practical training, equipped with modern bakeries and specialized stoves, improved cutting stations for cutting and cleaning food.
Military chefs and bakers, together with chefs from some of the leading restaurants in Moscow, held master classes on cooking and baking bread and bakery products.
Tomorrow, at this educational complex, the district stage of the “Field Kitchen” competition ARMI-2021 will start, where the best cooks and bakers of the Western Military District will be determined who will represent the district at the all-army stage, which will be held in Volsk at the end of May.
