Environmental subbotniks were held in the formations and units of the Troops and Forces in the Northeast and the Submarine Forces of the Pacific Fleet.

After winter, servicemen, civilian personnel and members of the families of naval sailors put things in order in the territories of military camps, adjacent areas, positions and pier areas.

The lands assigned to the military units were cleared of last year’s grass and dead wood, fences, curbs, and footpaths were cleaned and restored.

The same subbotniks were held in the territories of remote military towns and lighthouses, including Cape Schmidt, the Wrangel and Matua Islands.

Over 3 thousand servicemen took part in the environmental action. For the removal of household waste, 30 pieces of equipment were allocated for disposal.
