On April 18, the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation hosted an information and educational event dedicated to the 800th anniversary of the birth of the Holy Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky.

It was attended by servicemen, members of their families, civilian personnel of the 27th Scientific Center of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, veterans of the radiation, chemical and biological protection troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, military historians, as well as representatives of the All-Russian public organization “Officers of Russia”.

The event was held with the aim of preserving the memory of the exploits of the ancestors, fostering love for their Fatherland, understanding their history.

During the event, fragments of the best ever created patriotic film were shown – the film directed by S. Eisenstein “Alexander Nevsky”, 1938.

The participants of the meeting got acquainted with great interest with the form of museum work “Presentation of the Battle Banners of military units and formations awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky.

The event ended with a tour of the museum’s expositions and photographing for memory.
