In the airspace of the Pushkin airfield (St. Petersburg), training was held for the crews of tactical groups of the army aviation of the Leningrad Air Force and Air Defense Association of the Western Military District before the parade in honor of
76th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The pilots of the Ka-52 Alligator reconnaissance and attack helicopters, the Mi-28 Night Hunter, the Mi-8 multipurpose helicopters, and the Mi-26 heavy transport helicopter began to harmonize their piloting skills in a single parade formation.

During the training, the helicopter pilots performed group takeoffs, flights along a given route at an altitude of up to 200 m, and practiced maintaining intervals and distances between aircraft.

During the Parade, the crews of the army aviation will have to fly over the main square of St. Petersburg in a single formation with the planes of the operational-tactical and transport aviation at extremely low altitudes from 150 to 500 meters.

Earlier, the planes and helicopters of the operational-tactical and army aviation made a redeployment from the Pskov, Kursk, Voronezh, Smolensk, Tver regions and the Republic of Karelia to operational airfields for joint training of the air part of the Parade.
