In the city of Pushkin (St. Petersburg), the combat crews of a separate helicopter regiment of the Leningrad Army of the Air Force and the air defense of the Western Military District launched missile and cannon strikes at the airfield of a simulated enemy during a tactical flight exercise using aviation weapons.

The crews of the reconnaissance and attack helicopters Mi-28 “Night Hunter”, Mi-35 and multifunctional Mi-8, having made flights from the base airfield to the Kiniseppsky training ground (Leningrad Region), completed a combat training mission to destroy infrastructure facilities of the “enemy” airfield … The flight to the area of ​​operations was carried out in the composition of the units.

Unguided S-8kom aircraft missiles and GSh-30 automatic 30-mm cannons were used as aviation weapons. To create decoys for air defense systems, ASO-2V heat traps were used, produced with the help of on-board helicopter defense systems.

More than 20 aircraft, over 70 military personnel took part in the exercise.
