The recordings of the experts’ speeches will be available during the week in the official group on the VKontakte social network.

The forum-exhibition “Career vs Business” ended in Moscow. More than one and a half thousand young people from 100 educational institutions of the capital took part. They were able to receive job offers, pass professional tests and listen to lectures from business coaches and big entrepreneurs.

The forum program was divided into two directions: “Practice” for those who want to work for hire and “Undertake” for those who would like to open their own business.

“The past year and the pandemic have certainly left their mark on the labor market. For students and graduates of universities, finding a job in such conditions has become a challenge. The Career vs Business Forum became the first global event since the pandemic in the capital, where young people were able to personally communicate with employers and find job opportunities for themselves. It is worth noting that it was organized by youth for youth. Young, but already successful businessmen, ambassadors of large companies and authors of their own start-up projects shared their experience and achievements there, ”says the chairman of the Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy of the city of Moscow

Ekaterina Dragunova.

More than 50 Russian and international companies and state corporations became partners of the forum.

“During the forum, 300 participants received invitations to interviews at the company, and 75 of the most active of them were able to pass interviews right at the innovative city platform“ Digital Business Space ”. More than 100 participants received personal career counseling, during which our experts reviewed their resumes, ”says Amir Sarakov, head of the VRabote project, a member of the Public Chamber of the city of Moscow.

Also, 18 experienced speakers spoke to the participants, who shared their personal experience of building a career and business.

During the forum, there was an opportunity to take part in the business game “Undertake!”, Organized by the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the city of Moscow. In two days, more than 270 schoolchildren and students tried themselves in the role of entrepreneurs and solved real business problems. Five teams received prizes from the organizers, including certificates for participation in public speaking trainings. Young people who became interested in entrepreneurship during the game were invited to full-fledged training within the framework of the Business Weekend project.

“Moscow regularly implements programs and events that help young people acquire entrepreneurial skills. This includes, for example, the Business Weekend project, in which more than 50 thousand people took part last year. There are also other areas: for example, a voluntary qualification exam, which helps young professionals to check how much their knowledge and skills are in demand among employers. For four years, the number of its participants has grown several times. If 346 students took part in the pilot project, then four years later, in 2020, more than 12 thousand people passed it “, – said the head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the city of Moscow Alexey Fursin.

Over the next week, the forum will continue its work online. IN official community groupthe best lectures of speakers and participants of the business program will be published. Everyone will be able to watch the performances.

The organizers of the forum-exhibition were the Moscow Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy, the Moscow Youth project office and the VRabote project with the support of the Public Chamber of Moscow, the Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development and the Association of Students and Student Associations of Moscow.

The forum-exhibition was held in compliance with epidemiological norms and rules.
