In connection with the passage of a snow cyclone, the Troops and Forces in the North-East of Russia (OKVS) and the Submarine Forces of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) are in increased storm readiness. At the same time, difficult weather conditions did not affect the combat readiness of the Pacific Fleet units stationed in Kamchatka.

At the facilities of the fleet, reserve power and life support sources were checked in advance, and additional mooring lines were installed on warships, ships and submarines. Strengthened control over parking at base points and in the roadstead.

After a heavy snowfall in the garrisons of the Kamchatka grouping of the Pacific Fleet, work is underway to clear snow from highways, access roads to military towns, pier zones, airfields and training grounds. Specially formed groups from the road administration of the Eastern Military District and the OKVS naval engineering service clean snow in the military towns of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Vilyuchinsk, in the area of the villages of Radygino, Chapaevka, Anglichanka, Zavoiko. To carry out the work, special engineering equipment was involved.

At the headquarters of the Pacific Fleet associations, there are working groups that monitor the situation in real time and interact with the administration of the Kamchatka Territory to promptly respond to possible changes in the situation.
