In the Rostov region, at the Kadamovsky training ground, the qualifying round of the championship of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in army tactical shooting took place. According to its results, the team of marines of the Caspian Flotilla (CFL) took the honorary general command third place. In total, 11 teams of military units and formations of the Southern Military District (YuVO) took part in the competition.

The CFL team was represented by 12 members of the Marine Corps, including two women. The Marines successfully completed firing exercises with standard weapons in service with the units – AK-74M submachine guns, Makarov (PM) and Yarygin pistols.

At the training ground, various situations of the use of small arms were simulated, in which the participants of the competition demonstrated their skills. During the competition, the Marines practiced firing from a standing position and in motion at moving and stationary targets at distances from 10 to 300 meters.

They did an excellent job with evacuating the wounded, delivering valuable cargo, blocking a simulated enemy with fire, and developing a tactical priority. The exercises were performed in full equipment. Special attention was paid to safety requirements when firing.

At the ceremonial closing of the district stage, the winners were awarded cups and medals.

For reference:

Army Tactical Shooting takes the best of practical shooting, with the addition of a tactical element recreated in target environments and structures. The soldier himself determines the most important targets that must be hit in the first place, and he chooses the standard weapon to complete the task.
