A briefing with the participation of servicemen of the Eastern Military District (VVO) in Primorye was held at the administration of Ussuriysk. The theme of the event was the Katyusha project, within the framework of which a new art object will appear in the city.

On the eve of the celebration of the 76th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War, the servicemen, together with representatives of the Ussuriisk administration and sponsors, will begin creating an art object in front of the Officers’ House. It is a graffiti that will decorate a residential building with the image of a girl in a tunic against the background of a BM – 13 Katyusha combat vehicle.

The drawing was developed by the artist Ekaterina Bogdanova, the girl against the background of “Katyusha” is a collective image of the participants of the Great Patriotic War. Archival materials for creativity were provided by employees of the Ussuri Museum.

The project will personify the end of the war and the onset of the long-awaited peace, which will be of interest to residents and guests of the city.

Junior Sergeant Natalya Filatova joined the working group for the creation of the art object. Work will begin next week, with an opening ceremony scheduled for May 7, 2021.
