At a specialized training ground in the village of Sosnovy Bor in the Republic of Buryatia, sea trials of a heavy Soviet tank of the times of the Great Patriotic War IS-2 “Joseph Stalin” took place, after restoration work carried out by military foremen of the repair battalion of the Eastern Military District.

During the sea trials of the tank, the servicemen adjusted the clutch and clutches. The servicemen on the tank overcame several difficult obstacles, checked all the life support systems of the vehicle in various loads and modes. In general, the engine operation, steering, braking system, cooling and fuel supply systems were operating normally.

Recall that the heavy tank of the Great Patriotic War “Joseph Stalin” (IS-2) was removed from the pedestal in the village of Sosnovy Bor.

The best military masters of the separate repair and restoration battalion of the Air Defense Forces managed to restore the tank and put it on the move. In the future, the legendary tank will take part in training for the Victory Day parade at the Vostochny airfield, and after that it will be held as part of a mechanized convoy of equipment on the Square of Soviets on May 9 in Ulan-Ude.
