At the range of the Far Eastern Higher Combined Arms School (DVOKU) in the Amur Region, the grand opening of the All-Russian Championship of the Main Command of the Land Forces of the Russian Federation in tactical army shooting from small arms among military universities and training centers took place.

The participants of the All-Russian Championship were congratulated by the head of the DVOKU, Major General Alexander Ignatenko, the chairman of the regional department of DOSAAF of Russia, Colonel Alexander Borzhko, as well as the chairman of the city council of the city of Blagoveshchensk Elena Evlevskaya. After opening remarks, the chief judge of the competition, Lieutenant Colonel Roman Dudnikov, announced the competition open. He wished the participants a fair fight and assured them of impartial refereeing.

About 100 participants, during three days of the competition, as part of twelve teams from higher military educational institutions and training centers in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Smolensk, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Orenburg, Saratov, Yeisk, will perform, both in the team and in the individual competition. On the first day of the competition, the teams went through a series of qualifying exercises and performed weapons zeroing.

In the course of performing elements of army tactical shooting, simulating the conditions of modern urban combat, participants will fire from PM and AK-74M, both from a place and on the move. Shooting is conducted from various positions, forcing the participants to quickly assess the current tactical situation and make the right decisions in a timely manner.

The main criteria for evaluating the performance will be the speed and coherence of actions, the accuracy of shooting, as well as the time spent on the task.

The winners of the competition will take part in the Army Tactical Shooting Championship of the Armed Forces, which will be held at the Alabino training ground in May this year.
