Employees of correctional colony No. 1 and their family members visited a permanent exhibition on the history of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Mordovia.

The guide brought to the audience the information that the museum’s fund contains a large number of exhibits that have been collected by employees over the years. The employees were interested in rare photographs and documents, books, maps, as well as uniforms of employees of different years, creative works created by the hands of convicts, prohibited items confiscated from them. Everyone visited the room where one could see the conditions of detention of prisoners of the 30-40s of the last century – this is a prison solitary cell with a prisoner’s dummy.

At numerous stands, showcases of the permanent exposition, visitors could get acquainted with materials about the first employees of Temlag, famous repressed, labor dynasties, heroes, and international cooperation.

The excursion was informative, bright and emotional.

It should be noted that the potential of the exposition is actively used to form a positive opinion among employees about the penal system, which plays a big role in instilling in them a sense of pride, involvement in the implementation of an important state task related to strengthening the rule of law and law and order.
