As part of the final stage of the inter-service command-staff exercise to resolve crisis situations in the Arctic, which is taking place in the Northern Fleet under the general leadership of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov, the naval strike group of the Kola Flotilla of diverse forces worked out a missile strike on a conditional grouping of enemy ships in the Barents Sea.

Small missile ships “Rassvet” and “Iceberg” were involved in the event. Their crews worked out a full range of tasks for launching a missile attack with the conditional performance of salvo firing of anti-ship missiles at a sea target – a detachment of surface ships – at a distance of 80 nautical miles. Combat exercises were performed conditionally using computer simulation of the tactical situation.

After the missile attack, the ships continued to operate in the Barents Sea. Tomorrow they will arrive at the Polyarny base.

The frigate Admiral of the Fleet Kasatonov also took part in the exercise to defeat the surface groups of the mock enemy in the Barents Sea.

In the near future, the ship will complete the tasks in the Barents Sea according to the command post exercise plan and will return to the main base of the Northern Fleet – the city of Severomorsk.
