Winners and awardees can enter without exams in any Russian university for directions corresponding to the profile of the Olympiad.

The results of two All-Russian Olympiads for schoolchildren were summed up in Moscow and Lipetsk. 86 students from the capital were recognized as winners and prize-winners.

On the basis of the Moscow State Linguistic University from 19 to 22 April, an Olympiad in the German language was held. Four pupils of Moscow schools received diplomas of winners, another 29 – diplomas of prize-winners. For the first time, the winner of the final stage of the competition was Elisabeth Pfannenschmidt, a 10th grade student of boarding school No. 1 for the training and rehabilitation of the blind. Previously, she was already a prize-winner of the French language Olympiad.

The final stage of the Olympiad consisted of written and oral rounds. Schoolchildren completed tasks on the knowledge of vocabulary, grammar and regional studies, showed the skills of reading, listening, creative writing and speaking. The assignments were designed for pupils in grades 9-11.

The final stage of the Olympiad in Geography was held from April 16 to 22 at the Lipetsk State Pedagogical University named after P.P.Semenov-Tyan-Shansky. The absolute winner was Olga Ovchinnikova, an eleventh-grader from school No. 1561. In total, 14 Moscow schoolchildren received diplomas, and another 39 were recognized as prize-winners.

The last stage was divided into three rounds: theoretical, practical (field) and test. In the first, the participants solved problems on various topics, including the history of geographical science and discoveries. The field tour was conducted on the ground: the participants had to show orientation skills and the ability to apply geographic knowledge in practice. In the test round, schoolchildren were asked questions on their knowledge of geographical terms and concepts.

The All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren is held in 24 subjects. The competition includes four stages: school, municipal, regional and final. To get to a new level, you need to collect a certain amount of points, which is set by the organizers of the Olympiad. In the municipal stage, pupils of the 7-11th grades participate, and in the regional and final – the 9-11th. Winners and awardees of the final stage can enter without exams in any Russian university in areas corresponding to the profile of the Olympiad.
