Traditional track and field race in memory of Marshal of the Soviet Union A.M. Vasilevsky took place in Kineshma. The route ran along the upper and lower embankments of Volzhsky Boulevard. As in previous years, before the start of the competition, a wreath was laid to the bust of Marshal A.M. Vasilevsky. The head of the city Vyacheslav Stupin addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.

Despite the low temperature, rain and strong wind, hundreds of participants came to the start. Athletes, depending on their age, had to cover a distance of 1 to 6 kilometers. Yuri Mitin, head of the department of utilities, quartermaster and economic support of correctional colony No. 4 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Ivanovo Region, showed a high level of training and took first place in his age category, having run a distance of six kilometers by a huge margin from the rest of the participants.
