Travelers will learn the history of ice cream, study space technology and get a bird’s eye view of the city.
Travel service Russpass compiled a one-day route around the sights of Kirov, which will be of interest to adults and children.
The route will start “Day of amazing discoveries in Kirov”with a visit to the Museum of the History of Ice Cream, which is located on the pedestrian Spasskaya Street. It contains over a thousand items of exhibits on the history and production of frozen delicacies around the world. The museum hosts guided tours with master classes and tasting. Visitors will be able to taste several types of ice cream, including those with unusual tastes such as bacon or hard cheese.
After that, you can take a walk in the Alexander Garden, relax in the shade of trees and take a photo on the bridge of lovers. Not far from the park is the K.E. Tsiolkovsky, aviation and astronautics. The exposition tells about the exploration of outer space and the achievements of the founder of cosmonautics – Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky. In addition, the Children’s Space Center named after V.P. Savinykh. It introduces the history of space exploration, the main stages of space flight, rockets, modern satellites and the life of astronauts on the International Space Station.
Further, the route will lead to the Vyatka Paleontological Museum, which houses exhibits of dinosaurs and ancient mammals. At the end, the participants of the walk can ride a Ferris wheel in the park named after S.M. Kirov and see the city from a bird’s eye view.
The walk is expected to take about six hours.
