Medical specialists from the Russian peacekeeping contingent provided assistance to more than 1,300 residents of Nagorno-Karabakh in the field hospitals of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The reception of local residents by Russian military doctors is carried out in field hospitals deployed in the cities of Stepanakert and Mardakert. In addition, multifunctional mobile medical teams provide polyclinic assistance as part of humanitarian and medical campaigns in remote settlements.

Since the beginning of the hospital’s operation, more than 1,300 residents of Nagorno-Karabakh have received qualified medical care, including about 200 children.

All citizens who applied received consultations and necessary appointments after examination by qualified therapists, surgeons and other specialized specialists in deployed mobile hospitals.

“The main pathologies that are being treated (approx. – local residents) are cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, diseases of the bone apparatus,” said the head of the special-purpose medical unit No. 2, stationed in the city of Mardakert, major of the medical service Dmitry Naumov. “If necessary, we provide consultative and diagnostic assistance, perform procedures – ultrasound diagnostics, X-ray diagnostics, laboratory diagnostics,” he added.

More than 60 medical specialists work in the subdivisions of the special purpose medical squad, including military surgeons, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, therapists, epidemiologists and other specialized specialists. Field hospitals are equipped with all the necessary modern diagnostic and treatment equipment.

In accordance with the agreements specified in the joint statement of the President of the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, from 00:00 Moscow time on November 10 this year. a complete ceasefire and all hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh have been declared.

A peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation has been deployed to control the ceasefire and military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh. Russian peacekeepers ensure the safe return of refugees and the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh.
