The scouts of the motorized rifle unit of the army corps of the Eastern Military District (VVO) on Sakhalin crossed the “Scout’s Path”. This special strip of terrain includes more than 30 obstacles and obstacles of various types, most often encountered in a combat situation. Its length is about 700 meters.

In the course of training at the Uspenovsky training ground, the scouts acquire the skills of secretive, silent movement with weapons and military equipment. They overcome difficult obstacles, learn to skillfully operate in trenches and destroyed buildings, and practice hand-to-hand combat techniques. In addition, along the entire length of the Scout’s Trail, servicemen perform such elements as throwing knives and sapper blades.

To create a situation as close as possible to combat, fires and mine explosions are simulated, and blank ammunition is fired.

Also at the Uspenovsky training ground, the scouts of the army corps of the Air Defense Forces demonstrated their skill in shooting from various types of small arms, in driving military equipment in difficult conditions of rough terrain and made a march as part of the unit.
