On April 23, 2021, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation A.L. Overchuk held a presentation of the mobile application “Traveling without COVID-19” at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia for the heads of diplomatic missions of Hungary, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Hellenic Republic, the Arab Republic of Egypt, The Republic of Cyprus, the Republic of Cuba, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Thailand, the Republic of Turkey, the Republic of Finland, the Swiss Confederation and the Delegation of the European Union. The event was also attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation A.A. Pankin, Head of Rospotrebnadzor A.Yu. Popova , Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) NR Podguzov and Deputy Chairman of the Board of the EDB T.S. Sargsyan.

Traveling COVID-19 Free mobile application was developed by the EDB Digital Initiatives Fund in order to create conditions for the resumption of cross-border passenger traffic without additional risks of the spread of the new coronavirus infection. It is based on the mechanism of “paperless” confirmation of the results of PCR testing for COVID-19, carried out in one of the laboratories registered in the application.

A.L. Overchuk informed the representatives of the diplomatic corps about the architecture of the application and the procedure for its use, emphasizing its convenience and reliability, and also invited foreign partners to consider the possibility of connecting them to this digital platform.
