In the first quarter of 2021, Russian agricultural exports to China exceeded $ 1 billion.

According to the Federal Customs Service, in January-March 2021, Russia exported 1.8 million tons of agricultural products to China, which is 57% higher than the same period last year. The value of the supply increased by 9.5% to $ 1.09 billion.

Compared to last year, the export of soybeans increased: in physical terms, their shipments increased 4.4 times to over 1 million tons, in monetary terms – 4.9 times to $ 357 million. In second place in the structure of shipments to China is sunflower oil. Its export in January-March in physical terms decreased by 11% to 168 thousand tons, but in value terms – increased by 46% to 190 million dollars. The supply of rapeseed oil increased by 44% to 89 thousand tons in physical terms and by 70% to $ 94 million in monetary terms.

Exports of crustaceans to China compared to the first quarter of 2020 increased by 75% to 3 thousand tons, and export earnings – 2.2 times to 97 million dollars. Frozen fish is in 5th place: its supplies fell by 7 times compared to the same period in 2020 to 46 thousand tons worth $ 64 million.
