At the Military Medical Academy named after S.M. Kirov (St. Petersburg), Head of the Main Military Medical Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Dmitry Trishkin gave a lecture on the implementation of the project activities of the medical service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The lecture was attended by the head of the Military Medical Academy, Major General of the Medical Service Yevgeny Kryukov, deputy heads of the academy, faculty, masters, residents and graduate students.
Dmitry Trishkin said that the medical service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has many projects to improve and develop the provision of assistance to military personnel, but among them there are priority ones, which are given special attention.
Among such projects is a program to improve oncological care for military personnel. Taking into account the fact that the age of people with cancer in Russia is decreasing, Dmitry Trishkin noted the importance of in-depth, specialized medical examination of servicemen in the early stages of the disease.
He also noted that today, on the basis of district hospitals, all conditions have been created for the provision of specialized and high-tech care, and each specialist must know his measure of responsibility and understand at what level the patient needs to be helped.
One of the important directions of the project activities of the medical service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is to reduce the mortality rate of servicemen from diseases of the circulatory system. Dmitry Trishkin noted that the detection of a new coronavirus infection in 2020 affected military personnel with circulatory diseases, which aggravated their condition. However, during a pandemic, all military medical institutions, including the Military Medical Academy, managed to cope with difficult tasks in this area.
In addition, Dmitry Tishkin noted the work of specialists in the course of telemedicine consultations and telemedicine in general, since it makes it possible to consult any serviceman with any pathology.
“Today, a huge number of garrisons, which are located far from our hospitals, can contact the leading specialists of the Military Medical Academy, where they can consult any patient through telemedicine around the clock, from the Franz Josef Land archipelago to Alakurtti,” said Dmitry Trishkin.
During the lecture, projects related to sanatorium and resort provision for military personnel, a modern training system for military personnel, the introduction of innovative technologies with the involvement of the laboratories of the Military Medical Academy based on the ERA Technopolis, and many others were also touched upon.
Dmitry Trishkin noted that project management allows you to connect different departments and different specialists, and this makes it possible to understand what is needed to achieve a specific result.
