Servicemen of the repair and restoration battalion have begun preparing modern and historical military equipment for participation in the military parade dedicated to the 76th anniversary of the Great Victory, which will be held in the hero city of Murmansk on May 9. The repairmen tidy up the appearance of the cars, refresh the paintwork, wash and polish them. On each piece of equipment participating in the parade, a festive logo is pasted – a red star against the background of the St.George ribbon.

In total, more than 70 units of military equipment will be involved in the parade: armored vehicles P-230T “Tiger-M”, multiple launch rocket systems BM-21 “Grad” on the chassis of trucks “Ural”, anti-aircraft missile-gun complex “Pantsir-C1”, armored personnel carriers -82A, the Bastion coastal missile system, the GAZ-3344 Aleut snow and swamp-going vehicles, the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system launchers and other samples of military and special equipment in service with the Northern Fleet units today, as well as retro cars and motorcycles of the military and post-war period. As in previous years, the legendary Soviet medium tank T-34 from a platoon of historical armored vehicles will lead the mechanized column.

Part of the equipment has already been relocated to the city of Murmansk on the territory of the repair and restoration battalion to participate in the rehearsals of the military parade. The first training session on the streets of Murmansk will take place on May 3, the second is scheduled for May 5, and the dress rehearsal will take place two days before the holiday – on May 7.
