The specialists of the psychological service of the Baltic Fleet visited the mobile exhibition “The Golden Fund of the Russian Geographical Society” in the House of Officers of the Baltic Fleet. The exposition was delivered to Kaliningrad from St. Petersburg by transport aircraft of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Several thematic areas were presented at the exhibition: an art gallery, posters, copies of diaries, pencil sketches, artifacts and materials from the expeditions of the great Russian travelers A.V. Grigoriev, P.K. Kozlov. and Grombchevsky B.L.

The photo exhibition “Lighthouses of the Baltic” presents photographs of the lighthouses of the Baltic Sea. Among them are the oldest Russian lighthouse “Tolbukhin” in the city of Kronshtat, built by order of Peter I on an artificial island in 1719, and a photograph of the oldest lighthouse in the Baltic, Nikolai Tikhonovich Makarenko, who has been keeping watch at the Goglandsky lighthouse since 1967. By the way, the psychologists of the center themselves, already as authors, take part in the All-Russian photo competition “Lighthouses of Russia – 2021”, held by the Russian Geographical Society in conjunction with the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The main place of the exposition is occupied by exhibition stands telling about the history of the sinking of the BK-31 armored boat in 1942 near Stalingrad. Only in 2017 did the specialists of the Center for Underwater Research manage to lift the BK-31 hull. On board the sailors’ personal belongings and documents were preserved.

In 2021, the psychological service of the Armed Forces takes an active part in the psychological support of personnel involved in expeditionary activities. Special attention is paid to preliminary psychological examinations of servicemen and assessment of the influence of stress factors (climatic, extreme conditions) of activity on the psychoemotional state of the expedition participants.
